The very essence of Quai de la Photo, an art center dedicated to contemporary photography, is cultural and artistic. Our ambition is to showcase innovative and original photographic practices.
Quai de la Photo offers free, open-access exhibitions, bringing together the great names of photography and emerging artists from France and abroad. The exhibitions occupy all areas of the floating building, with a total surface area of over 1,000m2: the main deck, the gallery devoted entirely to the works, and the terrace that opens out onto the river banks in fine weather.
Quai de la Photo is a space for exchange and transmission, between photographers and the public, institutions and professionals. In addition to exhibitions, Quai de la Photo organizes a variety of activities open to all, always free of charge: guided tours, themed conferences, workshops for children, and more.
Quai de la Photo welcomes La Comète, Picto laboratories' photographic bookshop, which is embarking on a new adventure after more than 15 years in Paris's 10th arrondissement.
La Comète, an image-centric bookshop, offers an independent selection of photo books, from classics to unclassifiable works, as well as events: workshops, signings, meetings.
