I started taking photos 7 years ago when I was still in high school. At first, it was with a small digital camera, with the idea of documenting my life and that of the other teenagers around me. After that, I experimented a lot: events, food, studio and then I finally found what I liked best, documentary photography.

 

What I like to do is document a daily life that doesn't necessarily resemble my own, with different rules and ways of doing things to tell others about it.

 

For the past three years, I've been traveling throughout West Africa, meeting mystical personalities. The esoteric world, its rules, colors and codes fascinate me. Since then, my speciality has been to talk about mysticism (especially African), heritage, rituals and customs. All in bright colors because... I love the contrast of colors and light, it's very "alive". And "life", with its nuances and contrasts, is what I want to capture.
