Chamber portraiture with Fakele
On-site and take-away color film portraiture.
Quai de la Photo invites artist Fakele into its studio to take your portrait. Using a 1900 camera, he'll take your 18x24cm silver photograph, which he'll develop on site so you can take it home with you.
The silver print will be made in our mobile darkroom, and part of the development process will take place before your very eyes, in full daylight: "whouaouu effect" guaranteed! This alternative process offers a unique (non-reproducible) print and a singular, authentic result.
This process takes us back to a time when time was taken, when every photograph was important.

Please note that the session is limited to 4 people per photograph, and is not recommended for children under 3 due to the powerful flash and the need to remain still for a few seconds.
