To introduce you to photography, Quai de la Photo regularly organizes photo workshops in various formats, in the integrated professional studio, on location or on a cruise.

PHOTO CRUISES
Quai de la Photo offers photo workshops in the form of photographic cruises on the Seine in small groups (up to 10 people), to discover Paris from another angle.

Introduction to outdoor portrait photography
Outdoor portrait photography is a common practice, but one that requires the ability to receive and control light in its natural state - unlike the studio world, where light is emitted, created and controlled. This workshop will enable you to work in the unique setting of Quai de la Photo's terraces, using reflectors, flashes and diffusers as required.
It is given in either French or English, depending on the dates, and lasts 4 hours.
Course objectives
- make the most of your camera (focus, focus zone, light measurement),
- perceive the subtleties of different ambient light and weather situations (dark, backlight, bright, cloudy),
- understand the concept of exposure (light measurement, exposure compensation, apertures),
- make the most of light to highlight your subject,
- choose your point of view (framing, distance, depth of field, perspective, lines and vanishing points, wide shot or detail),
- choose from your images (edit your photos).
